The Coverstar Submersible Pump is used to remove excess water which has gathered on the pool cover material. It has an electronic 12v sensor so that when left on the pool cover it will start automatically when required.
Little Giant's uniquely designed automatic pool cover pump is ideal for removing water from all types of pool covers. Model APCP-1700G includes integral GFCI. This pump series activate in approximately 2" of water and deactivates in approximately 1.5" of water. The pump comes equipped with a low energy consumption, permanent-split capacitor (PSC) motor.
The motor is mounted in a sealed, stainless steel housing and cooled by the flow of the pumping fluid over the motor housing. The APCP-1700 series has a wide base design for needed stability. The Coverstar pump offers automatic pool cover drainage at a rate of 1700 gallons per hour.
